Devotional #9: A Family of Faith
"He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly."
Acts 10:2
Imagine being part of an orchestra, each instrument playing its part to create a beautiful symphony. In the Bible, there's a man named Cornelius who is like that! Acts 10:2 says he was a "devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God."
Cornelius and his family were like an orchestra of faith, each playing their part in serving God and helping others. Their home was filled with the music of kindness, prayer, and love for God.
This reminds us that our faith isn't a solo performance. We're part of a family orchestra, and everyone has a part to play! Together, we can pray, help others, and learn about God. Together, we can create a symphony of faith that plays the sweet music of God's love.
This week, let's consider our part in our family's faith orchestra. Let's pray together, help others, and learn more about God together. Because when we all play our part, our family creates a beautiful symphony of faith.
Family Discussion Question:
What do you think is your part in our family's faith orchestra? How can we work together this week to make our family symphony even more beautiful?
