Devotional #14: Our Safe Place

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty."

Psalm 91:1

Imagine a cozy treehouse nestled high in a sturdy tree, a safe hideaway where you're protected from the storm. Psalm 91:1 says, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." It's like God is our ultimate treehouse, our safe and secure place.

Just like a treehouse, God's love is our refuge—our safe space. When we're scared, upset, or unsure, we can go to Him. We can pray and read His word, and He'll comfort us.

Our families can also be like this treehouse. We can create a loving, safe place for each other, where everyone feels loved, understood, and comforted. This can mean being kind to each other, listening when someone needs to talk, or simply spending time together.

This week, let's work on making our family a safe and loving place, just like the treehouse. Remember, every act of kindness and understanding helps to build our family's treehouse stronger.

Family Discussion Question:

How can we make our family feel more like a safe and secure treehouse? What can we do this week to show love and understanding to each other?
