Devotional #13: The Power of Words
“Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity."
Proverbs 21:23
Did you know that your words have superpowers? It's true! Proverbs 21:23 says, "Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble." This means that by choosing our words carefully, we can prevent problems and create a positive environment.
Imagine your words as tiny superheroes. They can be used to cheer someone up, to say "sorry," or to express love. But they can also hurt people if we're not careful. Just like superheroes, our words have a great responsibility!
In our family, we can choose to use the power of our words for good. We can build each other up, encourage each other, and express love and forgiveness. When we do, our home becomes a happier, stronger place.
This week, let's focus on using our words wisely. Let's talk with kindness, patience, and love. Remember, our words are powerful. When we use them for good, we make our family stronger.
